SONI is the System Operator of the electricity transmission network in Northern Ireland (SONI). The current SONI regulatory price control (2020–2025) saw the introduction of the Evaluative Performance Framework (EPF). Under the EPF, SONI is incentivised against the development of its Forward Work Plan (FWP) and its subsequent delivery.
As part of this process, SONI undertakes a mid-year review of progress which is published in April each year. SONI’s mid-year report for 2023/2024 is available here.
As part of this review, SONI is inviting stakeholders to attend a workshop on the 8 May 2024. At this workshop, SONI will present its report and provide an overview of its progress against the FWP.
SONI’s performance is assessed by an independent EPF panel, which is made up of industry experts. The panel will attend the workshop on the 8 May to listen to both SONI’s and stakeholders’ views on progress made in delivering the FWP to date.
