Electricity Regulator Produces EEL Framework document for period to March 2007

Electricity Regulator, Douglas McIldoon, today issued a revised Framework Document produced on his behalf by The Energy Savings Trust covering the period to March 2007.
The document sets out proposals for levy expenditure of about £3.5m per annum raised from all electricity consumers in Northern Ireland.
The bulk of the money raised annually will will have a twofold target of achieving energy savings and eradicating fuel poverty in Northern Ireland.
The Framework document provides a background to the levy, information on how levy money can be accessed, information on targets, administrative procedures, monitoring, auditing and reporting requirements.
