Gas Supply Licence Extension and Modification Notice

Under Article 8(4) and Article 14(3) of the Gas (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation gives notice that it proposes to make extensions and/or modifications to nine gas supply licences.

The proposed extension will facilitate market opening in the Ten Towns Area in October 2012 & April 2015, enabling existing suppliers to enter the Ten Towns market. The proposed modification will facilitate automatic update of the licensed area in gas supply licences when a conveyance licence is extended. This will ensure licensed areas are more consistent across the various licenses under the Order.
