All electricity licence holders are required to pay an annual licence fee. This fee is calculated in accordance with a published methodology laid out in a determination document by the Utility Regulator. A permanent arrangement is required to replace the current temporary one.

The consultation on electricity licence fee methodology considers options for a permanent methodology.
