Under the regulatory approval of the DGES, System Operator Northern Ireland (SONI) a regulated business of NIE, has issued bid documentation relating to the allocation procedures for electricity interconnector capacity for the period commencing 1 April 2003. The allocation procedures as described in the accompanying Invitation to Bid document are in relation to both interconnector capacity with Scotland (the “Moyle Interconnector”) and with the Republic of Ireland (the “North/South Interconnector”).
