The Utility Regulator would like to remind all stakeholders that we will be hosting a workshop on Tuesday 7 May 2013 to discuss the competitive application process for the conveyance licence(s) to extend the natural gas network in Northern Ireland. The final licence(s) will be awarded in 2014 and it is estimated these could result in up to £200m of private sector investment.
We published a consultation paper on 4 April 2013, seeking views on a proposed licence application process and proposed regulator models. The workshop will give interested parties an opportunity to seek clarification on the proposals being consulted on and to put their views directly to us.
The workshop will take place at our office - Queens House, 14 Queens Street, Belfast - from 10.00am to 1.00pm on 7 May 2013. Tea and coffee will be served from 9.30am and a light buffet lunch will follow. If you would like to attend, please register with graham.craig@uregni.gov.uk by 12noon on Friday 3 May 2013.
