The Utility Regulator has today given notice of our intention to introduce new electricity licence conditions which require both SONI and NIE Networks Ltd (Transmission and Distribution) to produce a joint framework for digitalising and sharing data which will benefit customers and are aligned with stakeholders needs.
The principal purpose of these proposed modifications is to implement and give legal effect to our policy position, as set out in the consultation, for the companies to jointly develop, adopt, maintain and publish and comply with a Digitalisation Strategy and Action Plan.
A copy of the new proposed licence conditions will accompany this notice and can be found in Annexes B,C and D in the consultation paper.
