Phoenix Natural Gas Limited and Firmus Energy (Distribution) Limited models and accompanying notes

07/07/14

We published our final determination for the gas distribution price control (GD14) on 20 December 2013.  The final determination also outlined our intention to publish the conveyance charge (Pi) calculation models for Phoenix Natural Gas Limited (PNGL) and firmus Energy (Distribution) Limited.

The models are published today for: (1) PNGL and (2) firmus energy and are intended to aid transparency and the sharing of key information for all interested parties.

Accompanying the models are a set of individual ‘guidance’ notes for: (1) PNGL and (2) firmus energy , which are supplied with the objective of trying to help simplify understanding of the key licence components, their calculation and interaction.  These notes are provided solely as a guide. In all cases where there might be any discrepancy with the licence, the licence will take precedence.

In each case, the models calculate the allowed revenues for calendar years 2014, 2015 and 2016 based on the approved GD14 determined allowances. This model also considers allowances from 2017 onwards, which is as a result of the operation of each individual licence.

A paper copy of the accompanying notes can be obtained from:
