Douglas McIldoon, the Director General of Electricity Supply for Northern Ireland, in accordance with the committment given in his consultation paper on NIE’s Guaranteed and Overall Standards, today published Market Research undertaken by his consultants which will inform the work involved and the decisions which will inevitably be taken in connection with his review of Northern Ireland Electricity’s Price Control and of the company’s Guaranteed and Overall Standards of Customer Service. It is anticipated that aspects of the research will be of value in other areas of work including Social Action and the Environment. Although this is not a formal consultation document the Director General would welcome public debate and/or comment on its contents.
