n June 2012, we announced our intention to extend the use of regulatory letters to all licensees we regulate. Regulatory letters are a common tool used by regulators to communicate important matters such as regulatory policy positions or to provide clarification of obligations for licensees, for example, how a particular licence condition should be interpreted.
The Utility Regulator has now issued its first common utility regulatory letter (CURL1) to all licensees, reminding them of their obligations in relation to any request for information made by the Utility Regulator under either a licence or our legislative powers.
