The Utility Regulator today publishes its final decision on the certification of GNI (UK) as a fully ownership unbundled (FOU) transmission system operator (TSO).
Directive 2009/73/EC requires gas transmission system operators to operate independently from production or supply interests. GNI (UK) applied to be certified under the FOU arrangements on the basis that it does not own or control any relevant producers or suppliers. Our final decision is to certify GNI (UK) as FOU compliant. The paper sets out the rationale for this decision.
