Publication under Regulation 90 of The Gas and Electricity (Internal Markets) Regulations Northern Ireland 2011
The Gas and Electricity (Internal Markets) Regulations Northern Ireland 2011 (the Regulations) state that NIE’s existing transmission licence has effect as if it is two separate licences, one for transmission and one for distribution. Regulation 90 of the Regulations provide that the UR may make small changes to the document to account for there now being two separate licences. The UR, having consulted with NIE and DETI, has now made such changes and today publishes the “Successor Transmission Licence” and “Successor Distribution Licence” in accordance with Regulation 90.
