Implementation of the Postalisation System for the Northern Ireland Gas Transmission Network

Ofreg and DETI have today announced the publication of their consultation paper entitled:

‘RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION AND OPERATION OF A POSTALISATION SYSTEM FOR GAS TRANSMISSION TARIFFS IN NORTHERN IRELAND.’

Views are invited on all aspects of this paper and responses should arrive no later than Friday, 8th August 2003. A copy of the paper can be obtained from this website by clicking on the title above or in paper form.

The Energy Northern Ireland Order 2003 abolished the office of the Director General of Gas for Northern Ireland and replaced it with the Northern Ireland Authority for Energy Regulation (the Authority) with effect from 1 April 2003.

The Authority continues to use the popular name OFREG as the day to day working name for the office.
