Utility Regulator Consults on Modifications to Phoenix Natural Gas Licence

Today the Utility Regulator is publishing statutory notices as folllows:-
NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 8(4) OF THE
GAS (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 1996
The Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the “Authority”) pursuant to Article 8(4) of the Gas (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, as amended (the “Order”) hereby gives notice as follows:
The Authority proposes to extend the licenced area contained within the licence granted under Article 8 of the Order (“the licence”) to Phoenix Natural Gas Limited (“the licensee) to include the area within the boundaries of each of the electoral wards of:
1) Comber North, Comber South, Comber West, Comber East and Lisbane
Reason
The reason for the proposed extension is to provide the pipeline infrastructure necessary to facilitate the conveyance of gas to the above areas and to continue the development of an efficient, economic and co-ordinated gas industry in Northern Ireland.
