The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has today determined the appeal brought by SONI Ltd against the Utility Regulator’s decision to modify the price control conditions of SONI’s TSO Licence for the 2015-2020 price control.
Commenting on the CMA’s determination, the Utility Regulator’s Chief Executive, Jenny Pyper said:
“We welcome the publication of the CMA’s final determination. It follows an intensive inquiry process in which our focus on been on protecting the interests of Northern Ireland’s electricity consumers by ensuring they have a reliable and secure supply, which they pay no more for than they need to.
We will now commence work to bring forward, following consultation with SONI and other stakeholders, the licence modifications required to give effect to the CMA’s determination.”
