The Utility Regulator today publishes a Notice under Article 10(4) of the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 proposing the potential grant of a licence to participate in the transmission of electricity to Transmission Investment (TI) LIRIC Limited.
Under the proposed licence Transmission Investment intends to build a 700MW interconnector between Northern Ireland and Scotland, currently known as the Lir Interconnector or LirIC.
A copy of the proposed licence accompanies this notice.
