Summary

The Utility Regulator publishes a consultation on its intention to award an electricity generation licence to Powerhouse Generation Limited.

The Utility Regulator today gives notice of its intention to grant a licence to generate electricity to Powerhouse Generation Limited. 

Under the proposed licence the company plans to build a generation plant comprised of ten 2MW generators at a site in 68 Cloughanrammer Road, Carnmeen, Newry, BT34 1QG. The generators will be fuelled by gasoil and hydrotreated vegetable oil and will be fitted with clean-up equipment to facilitate compliance with the Medium Combustion Plan Directive.
