Summary

The Utility Regulator has today given notice of its intention to grant a modified electricity generation licence and an electricity supply licence to Veolia Energy Services NI Limited. Under those licences the company plans to operate as a Demand Side Unit Operator in the Single Electricity Market.

The Utility Regulator today gives notice of its intention to grant modified electricity generation and electricity supply licences to Veolia Energy Services NI Limited.  

Under the proposed licences the company would operate a virtual power plant aggregating multiple generation and load reduction units with approximately 6MW aggregated capacity. The company will operate in the Single Electricity Market as a Demand Side Unit.
