The UR has today, 17 May 2018, published its decision to approve the amended TSO proposal for day ahead and intraday arrangements concerning more than one Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO) in the SEM Bidding Zone in accordance with Article 45 and 57 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a Guideline on Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management.
On 7 September 2017, the UR received a multi-NEMO arrangements (MNA) proposal from the TSOs (SONI and EirGrid) outlining the different MNA models applied by some Member States across Europe. These proposals were subsequently consulted on with the UR publishing a decision letter on the 9 January 2018 requesting that the proposal be amended to recommend an arrangement to be implemented in the I-SEM.
On 13 March 2018, the TSOs submitted an amended proposal detailing multi-NEMO arrangements for both single day ahead coupling and single intraday coupling. These sought to reflect MNA developments taking place in Europe.
The attached letter sets out the UR’s decision to approve the amended TSO proposal for day ahead and intraday arrangements concerning more than one Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO) in the SEM Bidding Zone.
