RP5 (Regulatory period 5) is the next NIE T&D price control, due to be implemented in 2012. The Utility Regulator, in conjunction with the Consumer Council NI is hosting a series of interactive stakeholder events as part of the RP5 process. This is to ensure that all interested parties are informed of ongoing developments which may affect the price control, and will encourage a consultative approach to identifying information needs.
The first of these events was held on 23rd May 2011 and covered “Load bearing and large scale renewable generation connections”. The event was well attended by stakeholders from industry. Presentations were made by NIE and NIRIG, and a Question & Answer session was held to stimulate discussion. The presentations can be viewed here.
Further events will be held during 2011 and a wide range of stakeholder groups will be invited to participate, ensuring the views of all interested parties are represented.
