Summary

The Utility Regulator has today published a Notice Under Article 14(3) of the Gas (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 that proposes modifications to the gas conveyance licence held by firmus energy (Distribution) Ltd.

The firmus energy licence currently only allows for extensions to the licensed area where an entire electoral ward is granted as an extension. The proposed modifications would amend the licence to allow the licensed area to be extended by reference to specific premises, as well as by the entire electoral ward.

We have also published a separate Notice Under Article8(4) of the Gas (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 which proposes to extend the firmus energy (Distribution) Ltd licensed area. The reason for this proposed extension, is to allow for the construction of the pipeline infrastructure necessary to facilitate the conveyance of gas to Ulster Farm By-Products Limited.

Copies of the document will be made available in large print, Braille, audio cassette and a variety of relevant minority languages if required.
