The Utility Regulator issued its draft determination for the NIE T&D RP5 (Regulatory Period 5) price control on 19 April 2012. In order to provide further information and clarity to stakeholders, and provide an opportunity for discussion on the price control, the Utility Regulator hosted a number of RP5 stakeholder workshops in early June 2012. This follows on from initial workshops that were held in June 2011 which informed our draft determination.
The workshops were targeted at a number of different audiences:
* 7 June 2012: organisations involved or interested in the generation of electricity from renewable sources;
* 2 June 2012: organisations who represent vulnerable consumers; and
* 13 June 2012: regulated companies in the utility industries.
The presentation was given by Tanya Hedley, the Utility Regulator’s Electricity Director and are available to download using the links below. At the event on 12 June, the Consumer Council NI also provided input.
