Today we publish a revised timetable for the RP6 price control determination process for NIE Networks, to apply 1 October 2017 onwards until 31 March 2024.
We are using this information note as the opportunity to invite stakeholders to a planning workshop in advance of our draft determination due 24 March 2017. The workshop will engage with stakeholders over many of the key issues for the RP6 period in the context of the NIE Networks’ submission. The details and invite are included below.
The revision to our original timetable is the result of both lessons learned during our most recent network price control of GD17 as well as in light of the company’s substantial RP6 Business Plan submissions. In progressing RP6 we hope to build on substantive engagement with company and stakeholders alike as we move towards our draft determination publication in March 2017.
The revised timetable is set out below, including the addition of the staged approach to Licence modifications as required under current legislation. The effective start date of the RP6 price control remains 1 October 2017 having gone through various consultation stages, including the new more consumer focused 8-week formal consultation between draft and final determinations
The first of a number of RP6 workshops with stakeholders is planned for Wednesday 11 January 2017 and shall attempt to identify stakeholders’ key issues on the NIE Networks’ submission and for our draft determination in March:
Tea/coffee and registration: 9:30am - 10:00am
Workshop: 10:00am – 11:30am
