The Utility Regulator today publishes a consultation paper on licence changes required to implement single system operation (SSO) for gas transmission companies. The changes are applicable to the following gas conveyance licences:
Premier Transmission Limited (PTL);
Belfast Gas Transmission Limited (BGTL);
West Transmission Limited (WTL); and
GNI (UK) Limited.
A single system operator for gas market operations is expected to produce a range of benefits including efficiencies, single code, single IT interface and simplified arrangements.
The Utility Regulator welcomes comments from all stakeholder by the close of the consultation on 28 April 2017. Responses can be sent to Gas_networks_responses@uregni.gov.uk (cc-ing in roy.colville@uregni.gov.uk ).
