Following statutory consultation, SONI Limited has consented to the Utility Regulator’s license modifications giving effect to the current SONI price control, which runs until 30 September 2015.
The licence modifications include the return to business and domestic customers of some proceeds of sale, if assets which these customers have funded through the price control, are later sold by SONI. The modifications also include clarification of the requirement on SONI to remain independent while owned by Eirgrid plc and the requirement for other system service charges to be included in charging statements.
The new licence is published below. It differs from that issued for consultation on 18 April 2012 in that it does not include a new condition 34 which set out the requirement for a 10-year network development plan. Following this consultation, the Utility Regulator has decided that further consultation will take place to determine the responsibilities for this plan.
