The Utility Regulator has made extensions and modifications to seven gas supply licences as held under Article 8(1)(c) of the Gas (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, as amended.
These extensions will facilitate market opening in the ‘ten towns’ area in October 2012 and April 2015, enabling existing gas suppliers to enter the ten towns market. The ten towns are Ballymena, Ballymoney, Coleraine, Londonderry, Limavady, Antrim, Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon and Newry.
