The Utility regulator publishes notice of SONI’s proposed modification to the Grid Code - “Modification Proposal Form: Notice of Intention to disconnect due to retirement of plant.”
In Northern Ireland, the retirement of plant is currently specified in individual connection agreements. The SONI Grid Code does not specifically refer to any notice requirement around retirement of plant. This modification proposes to align the requirements in the SONI Grid Code, with those in the Eirgrid Grid Code, by making specific reference to the requirement for at least 36 (or 24 if less than 50MW capacity) calendar months notice prior to the retirement of plant.
