Job description
We are seeking applicants who have some experience in the energy industry to join the Wholesale Energy Markets team. Given the transitional nature of the EU Exit project, we are seeking to fill this position for a 2 year period.
Working within the Wholesale Markets Directorate, across a variety of functions within a team-based environment you will provide analysis and advice relating to the regulation of the electricity sector and the Single Electricity Market (SEM). Dealing with the consequences of the EU Exit (Brexit) for the electricity industry and the development of contingency arrangements related to the EU Exit will be one of the key focuses for this position.
Essential Criteria
- Proven ability to analyse written and numerical information from a wide variety of sources in a complex business or regulatory environment.
- Proven experience of making decisions based on sound analysis of complex and /or conflicting information and perspectives.
- Excellent organisational skills and proven track record of working to tight deadlines and with a high degree of individual responsibility.
- Proven experience of using sound analysis to constructively evaluate and challenge an external stakeholder’s point of view on complex issues while still managing to develop and maintain a constructive working relationship.
Interviews are expected to take place week commencing 24 June 2019 in Queens House, Belfast.
