The Utility Regulator is seeking to appoint Permanent:

 

Regulation Analysts x 6

And

Modelling Analysts x 2

 

A reserve list will be created to fill any additional Analyst roles across the organisation, including permanent and fixed term opportunities.

Salary:                        £39,969- £49,961 per annum

Pension:                    Northern Ireland Civil Service pension arrangements

Contract:                    Permanent- 37 Hours per week (flexi-time working as standard,

plus other flexible working arrangements will also be actively be considered)

Holidays:                  25 days (rising to 30 days), plus 12 p&p days

 

Essential Criteria:

 

  1. At least two years demonstrable experience in:
  • (Regulation Analyst) successfully analysing and advising on policy, consumer, economic and/or technical considerations relevant to a policy environment or regulated sector.
  • (Modelling Analyst) successfully testing, designing and building mathematical models that process large and complex data sets.

 

  1. Experience of analysing and distilling complex written, numerical information and/or large data sets from a wide variety of sources using analysis and diverse information sources to support development and delivery of business decisions or policy objectives in a complex environment.

 

  1. Excellent organisational skills and proven experience of taking individual responsibility working on a number of tasks or work streams at any one time while actively managing deadlines.

 

  1. Proven experience of communicating effectively in challenging situations and developing positive and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 

  1. Ability to positively demonstrate by examples, an understanding of and commitment to further workplace values that align to those of the Utility Regulator.

 

 

The assessment process is expected to be conducted remotely. The interview process will take place either remotely or in person in our offices in Belfast. Candidates will be informed of interview arrangements closer to the time and this will be subject to Executive guidance on COVID-19 restrictions.
