Today the Commission for Energy Regulation and the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation published the Joint Capacity Statement 2009 as part of the Common Arrangements for Gas project.
This Statement presents a summary of the analysis and review of the impact of forecast gas supply and demand on the transmission systems for both Ireland and Northern Ireland over the next eight years and is the first to have been produced on an all-island basis. The Statement provides the best estimate of the adequacy of the all-island system to meet demand growth in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
