Today the Utility Regulator publishes the Decision Paper for the 2017 Power NI Price Control. This paper sets out the Utility Regulator’s final decisions for the next Power NI Supply Price Control (which begins 1st April 2017). This is the latest in a series of documents the UR has published in relation to this price control. It follows on from the UR’s Approach Paper published in October 2015 and the Consultation Paper published in June 2016.
This decision paper outlines the rationale for the UR’s decisions in relation to the main issues within the control, those being its structure and form, an extension to the current Power NI control (with the reduction of revenues to reflect efficiencies gained in the last control period) and the customer coverage (scope) of regulated tariffs. Four responses were received to the June consultation paper and these can viewed as annexes to the decision paper. Responses to the approach paper were published in June 2016 along with the consultation paper.
Having considered all responses and representations made during both consultation periods, we now publish our final decisions, the associated Article 14 Notice and Licence Modifications which reflect these.
