The Utility Regulator is seeking to appoint permanent:

Regulation Analysts

Retail & Networks/Wholesale

A reserve list will be created from this competition in order to fill any additional analyst roles which may arise and may be placed across the organisation, including permanent and fixed term opportunities.

Salary: £39,969- £49,961 per annum

Pension: Northern Ireland Civil Service pension arrangements

Contract: Permanent - 37 hours per week (flexi-time working as standard, plus other flexible working arrangements will also be actively be considered)

Holidays: 25 days (rising to 30 days), plus 12 p&p days

If you apply for both Retail and Wholesale/Networks roles, you will undertake only one assessment/interview.

Essential criteria:

  1. At least two years demonstrable experience in:
  • (Retail Analyst) analysing any of the following business/commercial issues, or public policy, or consumer issues or regulation.
  • (Networks/Wholesale Analyst) successfully analysing technical, economic or policy considerations.
  1. Experience of complex analysis of:
  • (Retail Analyst) written or numerical information to support the evaluation and delivery of organisational or policy decisions.
  • (Networks/Wholesale Analyst) numerical information to support the delivery of business decisions.

    3. Proven experience of effectively building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

  1. Ability to positively demonstrate by examples, a commitment to workplace values that align to those of the Utility Regulator.

The assessment process is expected to be conducted remotely. The interview process will take place either remotely or in person in our offices in Belfast. Candidates will be informed of interview arrangements closer to the time and this will be subject to Executive guidance on COVID-19 restrictions.
