Job description

Protecting Northern Ireland’s energy and water consumers today and tomorrow is what we do.

This is an exciting time to join us, as we are expanding as an organisation so that we can fully support Northern Ireland in meeting the challenges of climate change, the cost-of-living crisis and ensuring the continuity of energy and water supplies.

Electricity, gas and water are essential services that support all homes and businesses in Northern Ireland. As an economic regulator, it is our role to enable, incentivise and hold energy and water companies to account for providing the very best levels of service and price for consumers both now and in the future.

You’ll be joining an organisation that is growing and transforming to meet the challenges of the future and protecting consumers in a changing world.

Administrative Assistant (Human Resources)

Working as an Administrative Assistant within the HR Team you will assist in the administration and provision of HR and training services across a broad generalist HR remit including recruitment and selection; attendance; performance management; learning and development and maintenance of employee personnel files.

General information

Northern Ireland continues to have an under-representation of women across our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) industries. The Utility Regulator is an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident Employer. As people with a disability, people from ethnic minority communities and women are currently underrepresented in the Utility Regulator, we would particularly welcome applications from these groups.

We offer an attractive package including a competitive starting salary with stepped increases per annum, alongside a range of other benefits including hybrid working, NI Civil Service (NICS) pension arrangements and 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 days after two years) and an additional 12 public and privilege days.

Contact us at recruitment@uregni.gov.uk  if you would like to talk to someone about the work we do and what it’s like working here.
